"She said we're Act I A couple is parked in a secluded area, making out by a Lafayette Park as two hooded figures approach and break their car window. At Angel Investigations, the crew is moving back in, organizing files and cleaning up the place a bit. Angel comes down and tries to make small talk with Cordelia, trying to reconnect, but things aren't going to be easy. He offers help with a box of files, she refuses, but she is ready to "help the helpless." She quickly shoots down Angel by reminding him, "You and I? We're not friends." A second later a vision hits her: Men in blue robes are pulling a girl from a car in Lafayette Park near the fountain. And she sees a building with a big red bird. The guys run out to help but Angel hangs behind and tells Cordy to go home. Later, Cordy is closing up, but she feels she's not alone. Harmony jumps out of the dark and startles Cordy. She quickly breaks a smile in relief at seeing one of her old high school friends and a former Cordette! The last time these two saw each other was at the Sunnydale graduation blowout. Harmony checks out the office as Cordy describes her job as office manager of an investigative agency. Harmony reveals she's in L.A. because she just got out of a "smothering relationship." Cordy, unaware that Harmony is a vamp, invites her to stay over at her home while she's in L.A. Across town, the three rescuers arrive at Lafayette Park and find a mangled empty car. In the distance, a woman cries for help and they run to her aid. She is struggling against a vamp in a green robe. He sees help is coming and attempts to flee but Gunn stops him as Angel surprises him with a stake through the heart. Wes comforts the homeless woman who almost became a victim of the night. Gunn points out the robe is green and not blue like Cordy had mentioned, but Angel quickly comes to her defense. Gunn takes a look around, while Wes discovers a symbol of a snake within a triangle sewn on the robe. He reaches for his cell phone to get Cordy on it, but Angel reveals he gave her the night off because the vision was just so tough on her. Angel asks Wes if he should send her some flowers to show his appreciation. Wes sarcastically suggests, "While your at it pick me up a sorry-you-were-shot-in-the-gut bouquets!" Angel can't use his money to buy her trust, but what truly bothers him is that she said they were not friends. Wes advises him to give their vision girl some time because "Cordelia has a lot of pain to work through."
"you're so... luscious..." Act II Cordy is asleep in her room, but unknown to her, Harmony quietly walks in and sits on the bed. Dennis has the sense to warn her and shuts the door loudly. The sound startles Cordy awake. Harmony quickly spills, "I'm sorry! I thought I could control myself. I thought I could resist these urges. . . .I mean seeing you there looking so . .lucsious." Cordy realizes her friend's personal revelation. "Oh, you're a . ." but Harmony cuts her off, "I was scared that if you found out what I was that you'd kill me!" Cordy reassures her friend that she will not hold it against her. Harmony returns to the couch to ensure that she doesn't give in to temptation. It's morning and Cordy is on the phone with Willow back in Sunnydale. Cordy reveals that Harmony is staying over and that she almost "jumped" her in the middle of the night, but Cordy makes it clear that she "shot her down" because she doesn't "go for that sort of stuff." Willow's confused and makes it clear to Cordy that Harmony now has fangs. Now it all makes sense to Cordy because she thought Harmony was a "great big lezbo!" Willow makes another revelation about herself. She warns Cordy that Harmony is very dangerous. She's going to follow her advice and get to somewhere safe just as Harmony walks into the room. At the Hyperion, Wes is researching the symbol found on the robes. Angel is pacing with impatience having nothing to do. He wants to go out to gather information, but it's daytime and Wes has Gunn already working on it. Willow calls to warn Angel of what's going on with Cordy.
Hello? Once at the office, Wes resumes researching through his books but Harmony continuously pops her gum as she looks over his shoulder. Wes is perturbed and moves away from Harm to ask Cordy about her vision. All are trying to find more info on the symbol, but nothing has yet to be found. Harm pops her gum, but it's one time too many for Wes, "Someone put a stake through that woman's heart if she persists in popping her bloody chewing gum!" Harmony apologizes. She thought the gum would help with the cravings and drives Wes over the edge when she tears off a page from a 12th century old book to dispense with her gum. He reaches for a stake and tries to use it but Cordy stops him. Angel gives Harm a cup of pig's blood; her face turns sour at the taste. She doesn't understand how Angel can deprive himself of the real thing. Angel thinks about her words, but Gunn walks in with some news distracting him for the reality of the precarious line he walks each day. He checks out the cute blonde, but Wes lets him know she's a vamp. According to Gunn, vampires have been kidnapping people off the street for a month. The crew hadn't been aware of it because they were distracted by other important events in their lives and secondly, because not many bodies were turning up. The vamps aren't feeding they are recruiting, but they wonder, for what?
At headquarters, Gunn and Wes are mapping out the location of the kidnappings. Cordy hits bingo on the Department of Justice website. She finds a similar symbol associated with a shut down pyramid scheme run by a motivational speaker named Doug Sanders. She finds a list of the known meeting places and a picture. Harmony leans over to take a look and spills her sugar laced blood coffee on the keyboard and shorts out the computer. Cordy brings Harmony to the couch away from Wes as she cries out in desperation--"I don't have anyone who understands what I'm going through." Cordy gets an idea and tells the guys their going out.
Will this song Act III The crew plus one-very-happy-undead-to-have-found-her-destiny are driving around town in the hopes Cordy will recognize something from her vision. They stop when she spots a stone bird above the closed down Palace Theatre. Once they are sure it's the bird, Wes quickly limps to the trunk, still recovering from his gunshot wound, to retrieve their weapons as he yells out orders to the rest except for Harmony. The gang is about to leave for battle, when Harmony eagerly awaits orders. Wes gives her the job of car protector, and she assures them that she will maim anyone who comes near it! Cordy stays behind to talk to her, but Angel quickly stops her. He believes that Harmony is the enemy, siding with Wes. Harmony will turn on her because it's a vampire's nature. Angel feels he's different because he has a soul, but Cordy points out that it didn't help when it came to betraying her. But, Cordy goes further, "You didn't just betray me, Angel. You didn't just hurt me. You gave away my clothes!." Despite this, she was more afraid that he would turn into Angelus by sleeping with Darla. To this, Angel assures her that he would never do that. Wes and Gunn return because there was no way to see inside. Angel volunteers to go in, but he has a soul and will be quickly spotted. Cordy volunteers Harmony. No one knows her and she doesn't have a soul. Perfect. She turns vamp face, "Watch out evil! Here comes Harmony." Harmony is welcomed by yellow robed vampire presiding over a table with books by Doug Sanders. She's handed one entitled, "Selective Slaughter: Turning a Blood Bath into a Blood Bank." She takes a seat and watches one of the members ascend to yellow robe status and is rewarded by feeding on one of the captives in the cage. Harmony applauds along with the others.
Act IV Harmony is smiling from fang to fang. Doug congratulates Harm on her coup. Harmony reaches blue robe status by delivering three humans and the famous Angel, well known amid vampire circles. Cordy realizes that Wes and Angel were right. Countless vamps surround them but the four are armed and willing to fight. Wes gives the order, "Kill 'em all!" An attack ensues and Doug is decapitated by Angel but not before Doug appeals to him to maximize his inner potential by leaving the humans. Wes frees the humans in the cage and Angel and Gunn kill as many vamps as possible. The attackers quickly realize they are against a formidable enemy and the ones left begin to run away. Harmony has Cordy on the floor but Cordy surprises her with a crossbow to the neck and another to the heart. Harmony is afraid, "We're still friends right?" Cordy sympathizes with Harmony and lets her flee into the night with a warning to leave L.A. The next day, Wes calls Angel into his office to talk about Cordy. Angel agrees with Wes about giving Cordy some time for the healing process. Suddenly, a screech is heard from behind the door and Cordy comes in clutching two armfuls of new clothes! Angel finally found her soft spot. She is beyond delighted, "You have a gay man's taste!" Which every girl knows, is the best when it comes to clothes. She hugs and jumps for joy, kissing an equally happy Angel on the cheek. Cordy doesn't need any more time for healing. She leaves to try on her clothes and Angel is finally glad to be her friend again. Wes is upset, being boss isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
